UNTOLD & STRUGLE STORY OF CHOTA BHEEM

Chota Bheem is one of the most beloved children's shows in India. Its first episode was released on April 6, 2008, on the Pogo channel. Since then, it has become the biggest brand in the country for children's entertainment, and has gained popularity in many other countries such as the US, Colombia, Argentina, and Chile. But do you know who created Chota Bheem, why it was created, and the struggles it faced before becoming India's biggest brand?

Who created Chota Bheem?

The man behind the creation of Chota Bheem is Rajiv Chilaka. He is the founder and CEO of Green Gold Animation, the animation studio that produces Chota Bheem. Chilaka was born in Hyderabad and grew up in a middle-class family. He studied engineering at JNTU College of Engineering, Hyderabad, and later worked as a software engineer for a few years. However, he soon realized that his true passion was animation, and he decided to pursue it full-time.

Rajiv Chilaka started his animation career in the early 2000s when the animation industry in India was still in its nascent stages. He worked for a few animation companies, but he was not satisfied with the work he was doing. He wanted to create something of his own, something that would be loved by children all over India. This led him to establish his own animation studio, Green Gold Animation, in 2001.

Why was Chota Bheem created?

Green Gold Animation's initial focus was on creating animated TV series for children. The studio created several shows such as Vikram, Betal, Bongo, and Krishna, but none of them became popular. Chilaka realized that he needed to create something unique and original that would capture the imagination of children. This led him to create Chota Bheem.

Chota Bheem was inspired by the character of Bhim from the Indian epic Mahabharata. Chilaka wanted to create a character that would be relatable to children and would embody the values of courage, bravery, and kindness. He wanted the character to be simple yet memorable, so he created a young boy who lived in a fictional kingdom called Dholakpur. The character was named Chota Bheem, which means "little Bhim."

Chota Bheem was created to appeal to children aged between four and eight years. Chilaka wanted to create a show that would not only entertain children but also teach them important values and life lessons. He believed that children learn best through visual media, and animation was the perfect medium to reach them.

The struggle story of Chota Bheem

Creating Chota Bheem was not an easy task for Rajiv Chilaka. He had to face several challenges before the show became a success. One of the biggest challenges was finding a platform to showcase the show. In 2006, Chilaka pitched the idea of Chota Bheem to Turner Entertainment, a leading media company that owns the Pogo channel. Turner Entertainment rejected the idea, saying that the show was too simple and lacked appeal.

Undeterred, Chilaka continued to work on the show, and in 2008, he released the first episode of Chota Bheem on the Pogo channel. The show was an instant hit, and children all over India fell in love with the character of Chota Bheem. However, the success of the show did not come without its share of struggles
